Three Important List Building Tools

Three Important List Building Tools

Every successful internet marketer will need to have an email list to market to. In order to build this list it is essential to have at least these three basic tools.

A domain name so every one will know what your information is all about. A web host to host this domain on the world wide web and an autoresponder.

There have been countless debates whether to to use an autoresponder or not.  The truth is if you only plan on having a list of 5 to 10 people then maybe you could handle sending out all your email campaigns on your own. The truth of the matter is, we all want a list with several email addresses on it to increase our chances for sales, right. So imagine when your list gets up to several hundred or even several thousand. Now sending out an email to each individual email address can be quite a daunting task.

This is where an autoresponder comes in handy because in it you just write an email sequence once, set the date and times for it to be sent out. That’s it. Every time someone opts in to your offer and confirms their email they will be sent these messages automatically. On exactly the predetermined dates and times which you have set.

There are many reputable autoresponders out there to choose from, but the two I highly recommend are Aweber and GetResponse. In my opinon Aweber is a little more user friendly but it comes at a slightly higher cost. So I urge you to shop around. But definitely get set up with one. This way you can have your email sequence set up and ready. Plus it will give you the opportunity to get familiar with which ever one you choose.

Now as far as getting a domain name it is always a wise decision to stick with a dot com if possible. Also use the the keyword you are targeting in the name. For instance if bass fishing was the targeted keyword then try to get a domain name as close to as possible. Also try to narrow the niche you are trying to enter. Like instead of just bass fishing try bass fishing in ponds. That would mean a good domain name would be or

Of course not every domain domain name you’re going to want is going to be available so keep trying different variations until you find one you like that is available. I just like GoDaddy to get my my domain names. Many times they have special offers. I’ve actually bought a name once for less than 20 cents.

Hands down the place to get the hosting for this new website or blog is HostGator. They offer cPanel and they have a 99.9% uptime guarantee. This means your website will be exposed to the world pretty much at all times. They also offer an excellent support service, in my opinion.

Now to be totally transparent about everything all the clickable links in this post are affiliate links. What does this mean? It means if you click on one of those links and purchase their product I will make a small commission. What the heck isn’t that what we are all trying to do? Make a couple of dollars.
